Tony established Excellence Driving Academy in Christchurch in 2010 teaching students using Eca Driving Simulators. He established a busy branch and over 95% of his students passed their restricted on the first attempt.
In 2017, the Christchurch branch temporarily closed as Tony & Wendy relocated to Palmerston North where they are very popular trainers in the Mid Central region & the 95% pass rate stands after 12 years (significantly higher than the regional average) Tony has a passion for equipping all his students with the skills and confidence to be a safe driver for life, in any location. Passing a licence is an added bonus on the way.

In 2020, post lockdown Paul re-opened the Christchurch branch and has built a reputation for his patience and dedication, going the extra mile for his customers.
He is a qualified Class 1 driver trainer and very skilled using the Eca Simulator. He is very visible buzzing around Christchurch in the Orange Toyota Aqua training car.

Christina Brears is a Class 1 driver trainer in our Palmerston North branch. Christina’s girls were trained fully by Excellence Driving Academy and as parents she & her husband wanted them to be the best drivers they could be.
Christina sees the value the simulator brings to our training and how students of at all stages in their driving journey benefit from using it. Christina is “One of those Mums” that always has more than her own brood at home, her friendly personality and patience put people at ease and before you realize it you are freely chatting with her while she passes on her wisdom & increasing experience as a trainer.

Julian is a qualified teacher with ESOL teaching experience, providing him with a great background as a driver instructor.
